NSBM Green University Welcomes September 2025 Intake with Grandeur

NSBM Green University ceremoniously welcomed its newest undergraduate batch for the September 2025 intake with an inspiring inauguration ceremony held on 8th September at its iconic green campus in Homagama. The event, hosted at the NSBM Auditorium, took place in the graceful presence of Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, Vice Chancellor of NSBM, together with the university’s top management, faculty members, new entrants, and their parents, creating a truly celebratory beginning for this new academic journey.

The inauguration featured a keynote address and insightful presentations, followed by the commencement of an orientation programme on 9th September. Dr. Sunil Nawaratne, former Secretary to the Ministry of Higher Education and current Chairman of The Cloud Hanthana Holdings, graced the occasion as the keynote speaker, sharing words of wisdom and inspiration with the new undergraduates.

This September marks a special interim intake at NSBM, complementing the two earlier intakes of the year. While opening a promising new chapter, the university is already preparing for its next major intake in December, continuing its mission to nurture future-ready graduates for Sri Lanka and beyond.

The new intake offers students access to over 50 degree and foundation programmes across the Faculties of Business, Computing, Engineering, and Science. Supported by a highly qualified academic team and an industry-aligned curriculum, NSBM equips students to become globally competitive graduates—all within a world-class campus environment.

NSBM Green University currently houses more than 13,000 undergraduates and has produced over 20,000 graduates so far, reaffirming its position as Sri Lanka’s most sought-after higher education destination guided by a national mission and a global vision.
