
NSBM Green University welcomed His Excellency Dr. Purna Bahadur Nepali, Ambassador of Nepal to Sri Lanka, for a cordial and meaningful visit to its green university premises.
During the visit, His Excellency held constructive discussions with Vice Chancellor Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe and the senior management team, focusing on opportunities for academic collaboration, student mobility, cultural exchange, and the promotion of higher education linkages between Sri Lanka and Nepal.
The Ambassador was introduced to NSBM’s academic landscape, state-of-the-art facilities, and its expanding network of international partnerships. He commended NSBM Green University for its strong commitment to sustainability-driven education, innovation, and its role in nurturing future leaders with a global outlook.
As part of the visit, His Excellency also participated in a ceremonial Nā (Ironwood) tree planting at the NSBM Phase 2 premises, symbolising friendship, sustainability, and a shared commitment to environmental responsibility between the two nations.
