Nalanda College OBA elects new office bearers


At the Annual General Meeting held at the Nalanda College’s Malalasekara Hall on 18th May 2024, Nalanda College Old Boys’ Association elected a team of new office bearers for the next term in the presence of a large gathering of their members.

While the Principal of Nalanda College, Mr Iran Champika de Silva will function as the President of Nalanda OBA, Mr Mohan Gunadasa was unanimously elected as it’s Executive President.

The other three main office bearers who were also elected unanimously were, Mr Varuna Ratnaweera as General Secretary, Mr Bimsara Wijerathne as the Treasurer and Lt Col Venura Dissanayake as the Chief Organiser.

The following office bearers were also elected unanimously to the Executive Committee of the OBA

Mr Harsha Nonis and Mr Pasindu Wickramasuriya as Asst Secretaries, Mr Waruna Abeyrathna and
Mr Lahiru Liyanage as Asst Treasurers , Mr Sahan Sandaruwan, Mr Ruchitha Wijegunawardana,
Mr Rananga Suraweera, Mr Prasanna Subasinghe and CI Eric Alahakoon as Deputy Organisers,

Mr Chathura Geethanath Bandara and Mr Rushantha Chandrakumara as Editors, Attorneys at Law
Binara Asabha Gunasekara and Srimal Weerakkody as Legal Advisors and Mr Virajith Bois as the Auditor.

The Vice Presidents of the OBA who were elected at the AGM were, Mr Chinthaka Ranaweera,
Mr Sanjeewa Perera, Mr Dinindu Alwis, Maj. Gen. Ubaya Medawela, Mr Ramal Siriwardena , Dr. Thilak Amarasinghe , Mr Pulathisi Sooriyabandara , Mr Shanaka Indradasa, Mr Roshan Senaratne , Mr Suresh Kariyawasam, Mr Dilum Rajapaksha, Mr Chrishantha Dhananjana Perera, Mr Sajith Kodikara,
Mr Saranga Wijeyarathne and Mr Mihiru Perera.
