The world won’t wait, that’s why the 20s are perfect for going beyond borders!
Do you remember that doll or sports car that you always wanted when you were just five years old? If I tell you now, I would give you a gift choice, to choose between that doll you wanted and a new apple I pad, what would you choose? Right! See how the priorities have changed over time, the thing that you want now, maybe doesn’t affect you in 10 years! That’s why your 20s are so important to do what you want, to grow in ways you can’t imagine and actually make an impact in the world.

So here’s the deal: what if I tell you, AIESEC gives you that opportunity to go beyond the borders and find out who you truly are and your skills before you settle down in life? Yes, in AIESEC, we provide global volunteering programs where you can go abroad, volunteer with different communities and create a lasting impact in the world. Whether it’s teaching in Vietnam, supporting environmental projects in Indonesia, or empowering communities in India, you’ll return with something no classroom can teach: your perspective and memories. It could be a simple chai tea cup with spicy pani puri or the view of the sun slowly setting down in Bali, or a random thank you note from a small kid, you would find life is actually worth living.

So in AIESEC, we have so many projects you can do abroad. Afraid you might not be comfortable teaching children? Well, you can travel and do vlogs to promote countries, or if you are an environmental activist like Greta Thunberg, you can work with peers who would do a change in the world. For young people like you who would love you work closely with children we have projects that you can engage with children and share your life and culture with them. Moreover, if you want to polish your hard and soft skills, we have so many opportunities. You have many different options to choose from!
So what’s the process? You can go abroad for any of the above-mentioned projects for a 4 -6 weeks time period, that depends on your choice. The good news is that in many countries, you get free accommodation and food, but it could change from project to project. You can easily manage your ticket, visa issues, and other problems with AIESEC at a considerably low budget. A university vacation after a hectic exam is more than perfect for your volunteer journey. Don’t worry you always have the guidance from the beginning to the end of your journey from AIESEC and guarantee a safe journey throughout.

Volunteering abroad gives you global exposure, new friendships, and real-life experience that every employer values. And a very valuable International Certificate! But more than that, it teaches you who you are when you step out of your comfort zone. Remember, you have one decade that’s all yours, your 20s. Don’t just scroll through other people’s adventures. Go live yours, because your 20s slip away fast in front of your eyes!
Bon Voyage, Ma Cherie!
