
Jump Joy Fest 2026, the Activity Day of Kids in Action (KIA) Preschool and
Childcare Center, fully owned and managed by Horizon College International, was
held recently with great enthusiasm and success.
The event welcomed around 500 young children from Playgroup (2.5 Years) to Kindergarten (4.5 Years) from the KIA Centers in Akuregoda, Kaduwela, Kesbewa,
Malabe, Pelawatte, Pannipitiya, together with parents and teachers, exceeding a
total of 1000 participants, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere.





The event was graced by Chief Guest Ms. Darshi Waidyathilaka, a Sri Lankan
Mathematics Educator and educational leader with over 13 years of experience in
teaching, curriculum development, and academic administration. In her speech, Ms.
Waidyathilaka emphasized the importance of going beyond the classroom and
engaging children in activity-based learning, highlighting its vital role in early
childhood education and overall development.



The day featured a variety of colorful and engaging activities participated by
Playgroup, Nursery, and Kindergarten Children of KIA. These vibrant activities under
the theme Circus Carnival included a Circus Hoop Parade, Trial of the Balancing
Umbrella, Clown Splash Toss, The Little Magicians, and Circus Horse. Each activity
brought joy, laughter, and excitement, making the event a truly memorable
experience for both children and parents.
Addressing the parents, Chairman Mr. Upul Daranagama assured that their decision
to enroll their children at KIA would open the door to a progressive and ambitious
educational journey, guiding them seamlessly from early years through to university
within the same educational group – Horizon.



Commending the successful conclusion of the event, Madam Principal, Mrs.
Maryanne Hills, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of all children and the
dedication of the teachers in making the Activity Day a lively and memorable
experience for everyone.
