Mr. Hansaja Banduge of NSBM Featured in the Sunday Observer

NSBM Green University proudly recognizes Mr. Hansaja Banduge, Probationary Lecturer from the Department of Marketing and Tourism at the Faculty of Business, for his excellence in the research article, “Hearts over heads: How emotional ads sway students to choose private universities?”, featured in the Research and Innovations column of the Sunday Observer.

His article is based on his research study, “Impact of Emotional Advertising on Admission Intention for Non-State (Private) Universities in Sri Lanka” which was published in the Sri Lanka Journal of Management Studies (Vol. 7, Issue I, 2025). The article effortlessly underlines some of the key findings of his research including how advertising targets people’s emotions such as love, humor and excitement, ultimately influencing their perceptions of higher studies in Sri Lanka and redefining their choices when selecting private universities.

The research study evidently aims to encompass a field that only a few have focused on and such commitment to analyzing how minds and emotions of people are targeted for the advantage of different organizations should not go unnoticed!
