Govt to require all preschools to register by July 1 under new regulations

All preschools operating in Sri Lanka must register or renew their registration by July 01 under new regulations, says Women and Child Affairs Minister Saroja Savithri Paulraj.

The minister said institutions that fail to meet the deadline will be listed and publicly identified as unregistered.

Under the new rules, preschools will only be allowed to admit new students after completing registration and meeting required government standards.

She also urged parents to verify the registration status of preschools before enrolling children to ensure compliance with safety and education standards.
