GCE O/L 2023 & GCE A/L 2024 exams : Important notice


The Ministry of Education has outlined the probable time frames for key state examinations and the academic term of schools for 2025.

The Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha today announced the time frames for the next GCE Advanced Level and Ordinary Level examinations as follows;

  • The GCE (Ordinary Level) exams 2023 will be held from May to June.
  • The GCE (Advanced Level) exams 2024 will be held in December 2024.

Meanwhile, the tentative time frame of the school academic term for 2025 is as follows;

  • The first term of schools for 2025 will begin on 02nd January 2025.
