Punjab University Offers Admissions in M.sc, M. Tech and P.h.D Programs

Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at Punjab University, Chandigarh, India.

Panjab University (PU), established in 1882, is one of India’s oldest and most prestigious public universities. Located in Chandigarh, it has built a strong reputation for academic excellence, research, and holistic education. Awarded the highest grade of A++ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the university reflects its commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in teaching, infrastructure, student support, and governance.

Their Programs are aimed at imparting high quality education and conducting cutting edge research in the emerging interdisciplinary areas of Nanoscience & Nanotechnology and Renewable Energy with the mission to excel in research and innovation for disseminating new knowledge and technological, to create future industry ready skilled manpower, cultivate pedagogy development on cutting edge areas of nanoscience and Renewable Energy and create an industry friendly research environment and state of the art infrastructure.

Admissions start from June 2025 and will purely be based on Merit.

(Limited seats are available for Ph. D)

Entry Requirements

1. Program – M. Sc.

  • B. Sc. (03 Years) in Physics or Chemistry or

  • Applied Sciences (Mathematics as subsidiary subject is mandatory for applied sciences) with minimum of 55 % marks in aggregate.

2. Program – M. Tech.

  • B.Tech./B.E.(04 years) or

  • M. Sc. (02 Years) in Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science/Nanoscience/Biophysics/Biochemistry-Microbiology/Other relevant subjects with minimum of 50 %
