D.S. Senanayake College Old Boys Successfully Conclude Back to School & Back to Sportsmeet

The annual Back to School and Back to Sportsmeet events, organized by the Old Boys’ Association of D.S.Senanayake College, was successfully concluded yesterday with the participation of many prominent alumni, including the Chairman of Sumithra Garments Mr. Jafar Sattar, Senior Additional Solicitor General Mr. Sumathi Dharmawardhane, Chairman of the David Wickremaratne Group of Companies Mr. Madura Wickremaratne, Chairman of Hameedia Mr. Hussain Sadique, and Former Government Minister Udaya Gammanpila.

The heartfelt remembrance of our fellow Senanayakians who were part of the Baseball Team of D.S.Senanayake College when they lost their lives at a terrorist attack in 2008, was also observed alongside the commemoration of fallen war heroes who were Senanayakians.

Moreover, for the first time ever in Senanayakian history, the Back to Sportsmeet event was also held with the enthusiastic participation of many former school teachers and alumni.
