D.S. Senanayake College Celebrates 45th Islamic Day ‘Symphony’25’ with Culture, Faith and Student Excellence

The Islamic Majlis of D.S.Senanayake College, Colombo, successfully hosted its 45th Annual Islamic Day, “Symphony’25,” on April 4 at the UCFM Towers Auditorium. The event brought together distinguished guests, staff, students, and well wishers in a vibrant celebration of faith, culture, and achievement.

The occasion was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Feroze Kamardeen and Guest of Honour Mr. Shaheer Rasooldeen, alongside the Principal, Mr. Sampath Weragoda. The keynote address by Ash-Sheikh Muiz Bukhari highlighted the importance of unity, knowledge, and strong moral values.

A major highlight of the event was the recognition of winners from the Intra-School and Inter-School competitions, with Hameed Al Husseinie College emerging as champions and Fathima Muslim Ladies College as runners up. The programme also featured engaging Nasheed performances and traditional Islamic dances.

Special appreciation was extended to top academic achievers and past teachers for their contributions to the college’s excellence and legacy.

“Symphony’25” reflected the continued commitment of the Islamic Majlis to fostering spiritual growth, academic success, and cultural appreciation, leaving a lasting impression on all in attendance.
