COYLE’s: Future Founders Programme – Empowering Young Visionaries

The Chamber of Young Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE) has long been at the forefront of promoting entrepreneurship in Sri Lanka, fostering innovation and empowering individuals to transform industries. In 2024, COYLE reinforced its commitment to the nation’s economic growth with the launch of several pioneering programmes, including the COYLE Future Founders Programme.

A testament to COYLE’s focus on nurturing young talent, the Future Founders Programme saw its first major milestone with the establishment of The Entrepreneur Club at D.S. Senanayake College. This initiative reflects COYLE’s dedication to equipping young minds with entrepreneurial skills and real-world business experience.

The Entrepreneur Club celebrated a landmark achievement on January 23rd with the launch of a school souvenir shop. Inaugurated by the school principal, Mr Sampath Weragoda and COYLE Chairman, Thushira Radella, the shop offers uniforms, T-shirts and stationery. Supported by seed funding from COYLE, this venture empowers students to manage a business, make strategic decisions and reinvest profits for long-term sustainability. Plans are already underway to expand the product range, underscoring the initiative’s success in fostering innovation and hands-on learning.

The souvenir shop at D.S. Senanayake College embodies COYLE’s mission to inspire and mentor the next generation of entrepreneurs. By providing seed funding and ongoing guidance, the organisation enables students to embrace challenges, think creatively and develop essential entrepreneurial skills that will benefit them throughout their careers.

COYLE’s commitment extends beyond individual projects. Through programmes like the Future Founders initiative, the organisation continues to champion a culture of entrepreneurship among youth, laying the foundation for a resilient and innovative economy.

As COYLE looks to the future, it remains steadfast in its mission to empower young entrepreneurs, promote economic growth and foster collaboration among industry leaders and policymakers. The success of the Future Founders Programme and the milestone achievements of 2024 reflect COYLE’s unwavering dedication to shaping a prosperous Sri Lanka. With initiatives like these, COYLE proves that the seeds planted today will bear fruit for generations, ensuring a vibrant, thriving entrepreneurial landscape for the nation. Together, we can build a brighter tomorrow.
