Over 300 Prefects Gather for ChoKoLAATe Leadership Convention 2025

The ChoKoLAATe Prefects Convention, held in collaboration with Gateway College, took place recently at the Royal MAS Arena. The event brought together over 300 prefects representing more than 30 schools from across the island, along with teachers, sponsors, and well-wishers.

The convention commenced with an engaging icebreaker session, where students were assigned to random teams to encourage interaction and networking. Each team was challenged to create and perform a unique HAKA, setting an energetic and collaborative tone for the day.

The afternoon sessions focused on team-building activities and interactive games conducted by esteemed sponsors, including Southern Cross University South Asia, CIMA Sri Lanka, Eduko Pathways, RMIT University, and AECC Global Sri Lanka. These sessions emphasized leadership, cooperation, and strategic thinking among the participants.

The evening session was led by Australian Catholic University (ACU), with Ms. Christine Dharmaratne captivating the audience through dynamic, fun-filled, and intellectually stimulating activities that kept the students actively engaged throughout.

The convention concluded with an open mic segment, providing students the opportunity to showcase their talents. Overall, the event was a resounding success, fostering fellowship, teamwork, and leadership, truly making it a day to remember.
