
The High Commission of India, Colombo, has announced a scholarship programme for Sri Lankan nationals under the AYUSH Scholarship Scheme for the 2026-27 academic year.
The scholarships cover undergraduate to doctoral-level studies in disciplines including Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, Siddha and Yoga.
Applicants seeking undergraduate admission in Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homeopathy must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology at G.C.E. Advanced Level, while those applying for yoga degree programmes require A/L qualifications in any stream.
Candidates applying for postgraduate and doctoral programmes must possess relevant degrees recognised by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) or equivalent authorities.
The scholarships fully cover tuition fees and include a monthly allowance, accommodation support and an annual grant.
