Nestled in the heart of Colombo, the BCIS Library stands as one of Sri Lanka’s most influential centers for global learning and international relations. Established with an initial donation of books from the South Korean Trade Mission, the library has since evolved into a respected knowledge hub with nearly 16,000 volumes and a growing collection of online journals.
Today, the BCIS Library attracts students, researchers, diplomats, and professionals who seek a deeper understanding of global affairs. More than a repository of books, it serves as a vibrant platform for intellectual exchange. Through Author Talks, Book Clubs, Group Discussions, Human Library sessions, and skill-development workshops, the library transforms reading into an immersive and collaborative experience. These activities encourage participants to question, reflect, and engage with international issues from multiple perspectives.
A key strength of the library lies in its dedicated staff, whose expertise and warm guidance ensure that every visitor finds what they seek, from scholarly resources to a supportive study environment. Partnerships with local and international libraries further widen access, allowing readers to explore a broader universe of knowledge.

The BCIS Library also hosts nine Special Collections, enriched by generous donations from Sri Lankan leaders, academics, and diplomats. These collections preserve rare materials and reflect decades of intellectual engagement with international studies.
Open to both BCIS students and the general public, the library offers full access to enrolled students and affordable membership options for external readers. Its serene atmosphere makes it an ideal space for study, research, and reflective learning.
