Sri Lanka and Canada Discuss Education Cooperation
Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya held discussions with the Canadian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Isabelle Catherine Martin, on December 15 at Temple Trees.
“Our discussions focused on Sri Lanka’s continued rebuilding efforts following Cyclone Ditwah, while also exploring cooperation in agriculture and future teacher and student exchange programmes to strengthen educational ties between Sri Lanka and Canada,” the Prime Minister stated.
Both sides emphasized the importance of fostering academic collaboration, skills development, and cross-cultural learning as part of strengthening bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Canada.
