
The University of Colombo has achieved international recognition, securing a position in the Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2025.
This prestigious ranking evaluates over 2,000 universities from 92 countries across 57 academic disciplines. In this year’s assessment, the University of Colombo was listed in the Clinical Medicine category, placing within the 401–500 band globally.
Officials from the university stated that this accomplishment reflects its ongoing dedication to delivering high-quality medical education and advancing research that meets global standards.
