Ministry of Education Commemorates Milad-Un-Nabi with Special Program

A special program organized by the Muslim School Development Branch of Ministry of Education Higher Education and Vocational Education was held at the Seventh Floor Auditorium of Ministry of Education in celebration of the birth anniversary of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Milad-Un-Nabi).

Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education attended the occasion and shared her insights into the Prophet’s timeless teachings on kindness, honesty, mutual understanding, coexistence and compassion. She emphasized that these advanced human qualities serve as the best examples for society today.

She further commented that the Prophet, as a leader who dedicated to building a respected human love, made immense sacrifices by declaring the core values through both his charitable acts and teachings.

Acting Secretary to the Ministry of Education, A. J. S. S. Edirisuriya, Professor J. D. Careemdeen of the Department of Social Sciences and Tertiary Education Studies at the Open University, along with directors and additional secretaries of the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education also participated in this event.
