
The Arunalu Siththam Children’s Art Competition 2025, organized by the Commercial Bank of Ceylon, invites young artists across Sri Lanka and overseas to showcase their creativity through art. This annual competition celebrates children’s talent and awards prizes to the most outstanding drawings.
For this year’s edition, children residing abroad are also welcome to participate, provided they are Sri Lankan nationals living with their parents.
Entries will be accepted under the following categories:
Each student may submit only one drawing, created using any preferred medium except sticky or non-drying paints.
1. For the local competition, winners will be selected on a provincial basis, and the national winners will be chosen from among the provincial winners.
2. To be eligible to participate, overseas participants must be Sri Lankan nationals residing with their parents.
3. Any preferred medium can be used except for sticky, non-drying types of paints.
4. If the submitted drawing is selected as a winner or to the final round, you will be required to send us the original drawing upon notification, along with a certification from your Principal, Vice Principal, Grama Niladari or a lawyer as a part of the verification process.
5. Participants residing overseas must submit their original drawing along with a certification from their school’s Principal or Vice Principal. The drawing should be made available to us by following the instructions provided.
6. The drawing should be an original creation by you. It should not have been submitted to any other competition and you should not recreate it or give it to someone else to create.
7. The copyright of all drawings submitted to the competition will rest with Commercial Bank and will not be returned.
8. Winners will be decided by a veteran board of judges and the decision of the judges will be final.
9. Children of the staff employed at Commercial Bank cannot participate in this competition.

Additionally, schools submitting the highest number of entries in each district will receive a Rs. 50,000 cash prize.
A total of Rs. 4.8 million in prizes will be awarded, with all cash prizes credited to Arunalu Children’s Savings Accounts at Commercial Bank. Special gifts will also be given to Isuru and Arunalu account holders who win cash prizes.
