EXODUS’26 : A Remarkable Journey of Talent, Strategy and Excellence

The Students’ Circle of Accounting and Finance (SCAF) of NSBM Green University successfully concluded EXODUS’26–Annual Accounting Day on 29 September 2026, marking a significant milestone in its continued commitment to academic excellence, professional development and student empowerment.

EXODUS’26 brought together aspiring accounting and finance professionals, academics and distinguished industry leaders on a platform that extended learning beyond the classroom.

The event celebrated knowledge, talent, teamwork and innovation while creating opportunities for students to gain valuable exposure to the realities of the professional world.

A key highlight of the journey was the EXODUS 2026 Competition, conducted across four distinctive rounds. The competition commenced with QuestX, which tested participants’ IQ, logical reasoning and judgement, followed by Beat the Clock, a fast-paced challenge focused on quick reflexes and the interaction between humans and automation. The third round, Field X, took participants to Nature’s Beauty Creations Limited, where teams worked on a business case study and presented their recommendations. Following the evaluation, three teams progressed to the Grand Finale, Risk and Reward, held during the Annual Accounting Day, where the finalists demonstrated their strategic thinking, decision-making and ability to perform under pressure.

The culmination of the competition on the EXODUS’26 stage reflected the determination and effort demonstrated by the participants throughout the journey. More than simply competing for a title, the experience provided students with opportunities to strengthen essential professional skills such as critical thinking, communication, teamwork, adaptability and confident decision-making.

Adding further significance to the occasion, Mr.Tishan Subasinghe, Presidentof CA Sri Lanka, delivered the Keynote Address. His presence and insights brought valuable professional perspectives to the event and served as an inspiration to the aspiring accounting and finance professionals in attendance.

The Annual Accounting Day was further enriched by an insightful Panel Discussion, bringing together distinguished professionals from different areas of the corporate and financial landscape. The panel featured Mr. Channa Gunawardena, Chairman of Litro Gas (Pvt) Ltd andformer Director of Nanaska; Mr.Dulip Yapa, Partner at Deloitte; and Mr. Hashan Waduge, Co-Founder and CEO of Online Accounting moderated by Ms.

Drawing from their professional journeys and industry experience, the panellists shared valuable perspectives with the audience, creating an opportunity for students to broaden their understanding of the corporate environment and the evolving expectations of future professionals. The discussion further strengthened one of the central purposes of

EXODUS’26 — connecting academic learning with the realities and opportunities of the professional world.

Another proud milestone of the occasion was the officiallaunch of SCAFTIMES 2026. The latest edition represented the creativity, knowledge and dedication of its contributors and the team behind the publication. The launch provided a platform to recognise student expression and intellectual contribution while adding another memorable achievement to the journey of SCAF.

EXODUS’26 also reflected the importance of student-led initiatives in developing future professionals. Through opportunities to organise, compete, collaborate and engage with industry experts, students were able to experience dimensions of professional growth that extend far beyond traditional academic learning.

Organised by the Students’ Circle of Accounting and Finance of NSBM Green University, the successful conclusion of EXODUS’26 was made possible through the collective commitment and contribution of everyone involved. From the competition participants and organising team to the professionals, academics, partners and supporters who contributed to the occasion, each played a role in bringing the vision of the event to life.

With the conclusion of the EXODUS 2026 Competition, the launch of SCAF TIMES 2026, an inspiring keynote address and an engaging panel discussion, EXODUS’26 Annual Accounting Day concluded as a celebration of knowledge, talent, teamwork and professional excellence.
