Sri Lankan nationals have been invited to apply for 200 fully funded scholarships offered by the Government of India for undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD studies for the 2026–27 academic year.
The scholarships are offered under several Commonwealth scholarship schemes, including the Nehru Memorial, Maulana Azad, Rajiv Gandhi and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam programmes. They are available for a wide range of academic disciplines, although Medical, Paramedical and Law programmes are excluded.
The initiative provides Sri Lankan students the opportunity to pursue higher education at recognized universities in India with full financial support.
Further details and application information will be published on the Sri Lankan Ministry of Higher Education website: http://mohe.gov.lk
