York Graduate Campus partners with Macquarie University to launch cybersecurity micro-credentials

York Graduate Campus officially launched its partnership with Macquarie University, Australia, on 8th February 2026, to deliver internationally recognised Cybersecurity Micro-Credentials at its campus.Through this collaboration with the Macquarie University Cyber Skills Academy, York Graduate Campus will offer a comprehensive suite of 08 specialised Cybersecurity units, including Data Security and Information Privacy, Identity Management and Secure Authentication, Applied Cryptography and Information Security, Digital Forensics, DevSecOps, AI for Cybersecurity, Mobile Security, and Security of AI.

Macquarie University is ranked No.11 in Australia and No.138 globally in the QS World University Rankings 2026, placing it within the top 1% of universities worldwide. The university is internationally recognised for its strength in Information Technology and Computer Science, and for delivering industry-aligned, future-focused education.

The programmes are designed for IT professionals, graduates, and undergraduates currently pursuing IT-related degrees, offering them the opportunity to enhance their professional qualifications through certifications issued by Macquarie University, strengthening global employability and industry readiness.

The launch ceremony was graced by Ms. Zarana Shah, Associate Director – South Asia and Onshore Recruitment Lead at Macquarie University; Ms. Sandi Seneviratne, Director – Education for Sri Lanka and the Maldives at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade); Mr. Rohan Perera, Chairman of York International School and York Graduate Campus; Mr. Deshan Perera, Director of York Graduate Campus; Mr. Roshane Perera, Director of York Graduate Campus; and Dr. Harshani Pinnawala, Head of Academic of York Graduate Campus, along with other senior members of the York Graduate Campus team.

This initiative marks a significant milestone in York Graduate Campus’s commitment to delivering internationally recognised higher education and expanding global learning opportunities in the rapidly growing and critical field of cybersecurity.
