Manoj Nanayakkara appointed Chief Scout Commissioner of Sri Lanka

Attorney-at-Law Manoj Nanayakkara has been appointed as the new Chief Scout Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Scout Association. The appointment was made by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in terms of the provisions of the Scouts Ordinance No. 13 of 1957. Cyclone-hit students get Rs. 10,000 relief allowance

Grade 6 admission appeals open until Jan. 25

The Ministry of Education has announced that, based on the results of the 2025 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination, the first round of appeals for admission to Grade 6 in schools for the year 2026 can be submitted online. Postponed A/L Exams resume today

The remaining subjects of the 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination, which were postponed due to Cyclone Ditwah, resumed today (12).
